The Incarnation of Christ is not only the union of divinity with humanity, of God with humankind, it is also the union of eternity with time in such a way that time is transfigured. This is why Paul can speak of us as being chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world. And why John the Beloved, in the book of Revelation, can speak of Christ as the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
The Moment of the Creation
Is the Moment of the Fall,
The Moment of our participation
In its downward spiral
By our own thoughts and deeds.
But it is also the Moment of
The Incarnation and the Cross,
And of the Resurrection.
It is the Moment of Christ drawing
All Creation to Himself.
The Moment of Christ
Transforming All Creation,
Making All Things New,
Conforming All to the Image
Of the Divine.
The End is in the Beginning
And the Beginning is in the End,
In the One Eternal Moment.
